Frédéric BORNE
CIRAD research engineer,
Ph.D in Physical Measurements / Remote Sensing
ResearchGate page
Specialized in image processing, he worked on the MEB – Corpus project with Marc Jaeger and Philippe Borianne. Teacher and researcher in Thailand for 5 years, then head of the IFP (Institut Français de Pondichéry) geomatics laboratory in India, he is now a researcher in the AMAP unit in Montpellier. He is interested in the characterization and recognition of textures on digital images, particularly very high resolution satellite images or LIDAR., and in CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks) classification (Deep Learning).
Marc JAEGER
Research engineer – Doctor of Computer Science, qualified to direct research. Specialist in Visualization of plants and simulated landscapes, Volume imaging,… Responsible for the MEB project and its applications to forestry.
Gaëlle VIENNOIS
Post-doctoral fellow
François POSTIC (Sept. 2018 – March 2019)
François holds a Master’s degree in physical sciences and a Doctorate in agronomic sciences, and has acquired skills in engineering sciences (project management management), agronomy, statistics, geophysics and image processing.
His multidisciplinary PhD, combining physical and agronomic sciences, focused on the development of non-destructive methods for root detection of field crop plants for application in varietal selection. He has broadened his fields of expertise to include agronomy and geophysics, while applying his knowledge in metrology, programming and statistical processing.
He joined the I2P group at the beginning of September 2018 for a period of 6 months to work on root segmentation by neural networks.
Our PhD students
Younes ZEGAOUI (2018-2020)
PhD student, financed by the Berger-Levrault group, directed by Marc CHAUMONT (Lirmm – Icar), co-supervised by Gérard SUBSOL (Lirmm – Icar), Laurent DE RUELLE (LRA Berger-Levrault) and Philippe BORIANNE.
Although welcomed by the Lirmm, Younes is associated with the I2P group because of its subject of study.
Study topic: neural network for dynamic LIDAR data identification
