Research areas

I am an Applied Mathematician working on several topics including

  • Mathematical Modelling in biological sciences using ODES, IDES, or PDES, and in particular plants sciences, like plant-insect interactions….
  • Biological Control: modelling, analysis and simulations.
  • Mathematical Epidemiology: human, animal and plants diseases.
  • Nonlinear analysis, qualitative analysis.
  • Numerical methods: development of new algorithms, like the nonstandard finite difference methods.
  • Variational inequalities, differential inclusions, vibro-impact problems.
  • ….

As Senior researcher in CIRAD, I am involved in many projects linked to Southern Countries, like South Africa, Cameroon, Indonesia, Réunion island, ….

Since January 2015, I am the Principal Investigator of the Research Theme MPPM, « Math for Plants and Plants for Maths ».

Since January 2017, I’m associate member of the LIRIMA Team « EPITAG »: EPIdemiological modelling and control for Tropical AGriculture

Since January 2019, I’m Co-Pi within the SARChI Chair in Mathematical Models and Methods in Bio-engineering and Biosciences (M3B2)

I am also Extra-Ordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria (South Africa)
